For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Good reply; however, when I read the permissible uses of the funds, It included everything from paying of debt, utilities, parks, golf courses; economical development districts in Baltimore...low income housing. Perhaps, without initial objection, Our Representatives, and The Democratic controlled legislature, were not concerned on the impact to Ocean Pines, because of OP large conservative voter base..?? Of all the jurisdictions getting impact fees, Only, OP was limited to INFRASTRUCTURE...Who agreed to that... I believe that OP may have equal or more full time residents, then O.C., and yet they get more impact funding, although located on the other side of the Bay.. It seems to me that we could have used the funds for many other ongoing needs in Ocean Pines, other then bridges and roads, etc., Had Wor. County had disbursement authority over the funds, I believe that OP may have faired better.... Water under the bridge...! |
