The new siding was the exact siding initially installed on the house but they made them paint the addition siding to match the sun fade.
That happened to an older gentleman neighbor of mine also several years ago. He was told his shed had to match the house color so he took a piece of his house siding he had saved to Sherwin Williams and asked them to match the color. After he repainted his shed he was advised by ARC that it was still in violation because the color did not match the [faded] siding on the side where the shed was located. He was pretty stressed out at the time but fortunately calmer heads prevailed and OPA did not pursue any further action. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Mark I agree with you. One of my customers some years ago we built an addition for was forced to paint the new siding on the addition to match the fade of the original house siding. The new siding was the exact siding initially installed on the house but they made them paint the addition siding to match the sun fade. Completely nuts!!!! |
