It certainly looks like you have done your homework. You have one thing I do not: children. So, and my wife and I were in OP this past weekend, we, as always, marvel at the complete lack of programming fare offered by Mediacom. I have looked into all of the same items that you have and come up with one inescapable conclusion: Internet is a must. So, when this contract with Mediacom runs out, I will be cancelling the TV portion of what I receive in favor of just Internet. We stream quite a bit (Amazon Prime and BritBox) and are more than satisfied with what they have to offer. I, too, have a roof-top antenna, but for the most part it is useless simply because of where we are located: in the woods, section 9. On a good day, the reception is spotty. I have checked just to make sure that the digital antenna is pointed in the right direction: it is. My wife's sister and her husband own property on the water in Wood Duck Isle II and have just an antenna (interior) and have no problem receiving as many as 10 over-air stations - sometimes they even get reception from a station in New Jersey. It just depends where you are in OP.
