Another golfer! All of the golf losses are directly passed on to all owners. And the majority not being golfers. Sounds reasonable to me. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: You're right, Joe. This should never have ended up in court. Although I supported a lot of Mr. Trendic's efforts while he was on the Board, I did not sign the petition, because I thought it was mis-directed. The amount of Board discretion currently on the books is not out of bounds for an association of OPA's size -- the way to ensure proper expenditures is through voting for the appropriate candidates for election, not requiring a vote for a level of expenditures that was proposed in the referendum. Furthermore, I support the overdue upgrade of the golf facilities, as it is one of the few amenities that OPA funds that I use as a part-time resident. I am confused as to why you support a lawsuit against OPA that, if successful, would clearly result in a passed-on cost to every Ocean Pines owner. Like I said at the beginning, this should never have ended up in court. If the proponents are really concerned about costs to Ocean Pines members, they should drop the suit. Sorry to be the "skunk at the party", but not every resident in Ocean Pines (at least me, anyway) agrees with your opinion. No need to reply, since, as a part-time resident, I seldom check this forum. At least we'll have a Comcast option soon, instead of just Mediacom. I'm thankful that the OPA Board made a good decision on this. |
