Where did you get last November? To the best of my knowledge the lease was renewed last May.
Marty. In Sep 2019, there was an electronic vote on a new Seacrets parking contract. This information was shared in the Oct 2019 Board Meeting Packet: What is puzzling, a 5 year contract was negotiated by the Board in May 2016. The agreement was $63K in year one, three years of incremental increases, which capped at $71K in the fifth year. Seems that the contract was renewed early. I don't know the reasons. OPA also has a small contract with the Dumsers in front of Seacrets. Perhaps that's what you saw. Tom |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Tom: Where did you get last November? To the best of my knowledge the lease was renewed last May. As to Seacrets looking for some relief, could be. The only reason they lease that parking lot is because in Ocean City parking spaces equate to restaurant/bar seats, so, if Moore is going to be restricted to less seats because of social distancing then you may have hit the nail on the head. The true shame is we didn’t grant them the 99 year lease they wanted a few years ago. Marty |
