Hi Frank. During the board meeting today you said that Viola and Rogers had a Constitutional First Amendment right to discuss whatever they wanted to discuss regarding OPA. This is absolutely incorrect. Viola is an employee of the Board of Directors.
Employees who work in the private sector do not, as a rule, have First Amendment protection for their speech in the workplace. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: OPA Statement after closed meeting: (Aug. 17, 2020) The Ocean Pines Board today issued the following statement, following the closed part of a special meeting:
“The Board of Directors has complete faith and confidence in our General Manager and his management of Ocean Pines. “After adjournment, the board discussed matters concerning Board policies and procedures.” |
