I think I suggested if $500,000 would solve the problem it would be better than no solution and certainly a better solution than many millions.
As it now appears some $800,000 will be spent and we still have no place to put the water. Would I spend $500,000 to buy some land if it solved the flooding in that area? Yes. I have been asking questions and received no answers about the work we plan to do but having no place to get the water out of OP. A broader question is why we proceeded with a plan that required dumping the water on someone else’s property without confirmation we could do so. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: A bit simplistic. There are legal issues involved but I am not aware of all of them. Don't be so quick to blame the developer. You seemed to be pretty quick in suggesting OPA should pay the developer the $500,000. |
