As for "punishing Janasek," we have no idea at this time what charges Viola will bring out in public. I will give both men the benefit of the doubt until I hear the charges and proof of those charges and, also make some determination as to whether the charges are of a nature to suggest removal is appropriate.
Yes to benefit of the doubt. This is a Special Board meeting in which Public Comments are limited to the topic. Since the agenda lists Public Comments prior to the Public Hearing, those members attending the meeting will not know facts of the complaint in advance, therefore, any Public Comment in support or opposition would be based on what you have written in your article. I will be attending the meeting, which is limited to 50 seats. Tom |

Also, if there is going to be a manager change in 2021, has our search committed produced any viable candidates? The board in conjunction with Viola has implemented some sort of process whereby existing employees are allowed to express interest in the position and be involved in related training. To my knowledge, only one employee has expressed formal interest -- Colby Phillips. |
