For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Control by government is something we should fear regardless of who is taking it - Republican or Democrat. This country has slowly surrendered control from the private sector to government since 1900. One thing has been proven over and over. Once government takes control, it never surrenders it and most always enlarges it. It's a natural law. Government builds additional bureaucracy with every new seizure of control. Its a cancer that never stops. Particularly galling is the creation of new government jobs in key congressional districts to ensure they never go away. Many countries have government control as a central theme of their way of life and the citizens embrace it. Europe in particular. I suspect most readers of this forum recoil at such a notion. I fear their future generations will have to live with it. |
