| There was no charge for installation. I pay Solar City (Now Tesla) per killowatt hour at a rate that has remained lower than Choptank. I save about $300-$400 per year. The savings was not my motivation. I wanted to reduce my carbon footprint. At the time, I thought more people would be taking advantage of this, but not many installations in Ocean Pines. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Looks like you had a Solar City Installation? While this is interesting, how much money did you save? I ask because when I have looked before the savings are that impressive especially if your shingles are close to end of life and you need to replace before installation. I love the idea, but.... |
