For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: As you know, it's not just about GM, it's about having a better rollover from outgoing director to incoming director. I am not sure what you mean. What sort of "rollover from outgoing director to incoming director" would you like to see? At the annual meeting any outgoing director is immediately out and any elected board member is immediately in. Each year there is an entire day set aside for new and old directors to discuss how OPA operates, and this includes a presentation by OPA's lawyer on the OPA governing documents and applicable corporate law. They are open to association embers. I have attended five or more. If the Board is concerned about GM succession then so should the community. We elect board members and their responsibility to assure that a GM or management company is in place per the bylaws. This so-called succession plan was initially no more than some desire to train Colby Phillips. Period. She is no longer here and no other employee ever applied to participate in the succession plan, although anyone could have done so. Can you explain how a succession plan would work as you envision it? |
