I have not been involved for over a year, but when I was working on the project the only customization we were using was all within the existing capabilities of the product (populating table values, selecting labels, etc.). Joe is right that NS agreed to implement/add a handful of features for OPA, but those were adds to the base product, not anything just for OPA. OPA staff will not maintain any of the NS software -- they cannot, they don't even have access to the system code. But a LOT of what is being said about the NS system and the implementation is not accurate. Len |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Here might be the problem and perhaps Len Smith will comment. The software is built to be used most efficiently and effectively as it was built. I have a suspicion that we are trying to customize and build work arounds to do things the OPA way. Norhthstar will not support these modifications. It will be up to our own IT staff to maintain. I just wish we could have a full report of where things stand. Aka transparency. I have asked for that as well...crickets |
