For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: From the reports and various postings I've read on this matter this seems to be a rather good summary. I have been a critic of the OPA Board management for quite some time, and nothing about this matter has improved my opinions. I have also been favorably impressed with Colby but I must say that this matter has been discussed ad infinitum and is getting old. Colby has moved on to what is probably a better situation, and we all wish her well. But it is over, and time to drop all the griping and recriminations. The advocacy group under Diller seem to be a semi-organized gripe group with, in my opinion, some ulterior motives. Continued postings from and about Colby are not improving anything, especially in that, as I've said, IT IS OVER. Move on folks. I think perhaps the one thing that merits further discussion is the question many, including myself, have asked - where was Viola during all this ? His lack of direct involvement and apparent lack of interest in resolving an employee issue is undoubtedly what caused this situation to escalate to the point it did. No excuse for the way it was handled, and my disgust with the BOD and the GM could not be greater than it is. |
