During a good rainfall that weir will not do much. I have a feeling you are expecting much more than this project can deliver. This project is just a small part of a larger project designed to get rid of the water. Unfortunately the initial design was done to remove water via property we did not control. We were sold a fake bill of goods, but no one wants to talk about that. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Hi Frank In today's "This Week in The Pines" I saw the following description of the work at Bainbridge Pond: "The project at Bainbridge Pond includes replacement of storm drain inflow and outflow pipes, construction of a new forebay, re-grading the perimeter of the pond and installing aquatic benches, and building a new weir to control water levels and slow flooding during larger storms." [underline added] And I was glad to hear Bainbridge is going to include the weir, to help control water levels. And from descriptions I've read of similar projects, its forebay will be helpful in gaining the sedimentation effects. or filtration. Tom |
