| So you didn’t actually answer my question. As for statues being vandalized, no I don’t support that. On the other hand Christopher Columbus is likely no hero to native Americans. Again it is a matter of appreciation of others perspectives. Like it or not, there is a lot of suppression over the course of history of this country. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Nate When you're questioning about the confederate flag, that opens the broader issue of statues. For example thugs in Baltimore tearing down & tossing into the harbor a statue of Christopher Columbus. Ridiculous !!! Gets into the realm -- give up an inch, soon becomes a mile. A contrast of arguing at a legislature vs mobs ruling the streets. Remember the show "Dukes of Hazard" and the red Dodge "General Lee" I don't miss it -- so if that show being banned makes some folks happy, Seems OK. So long as there's no assaults on actors, or attempts to cancel careers. Also no violence, arson or destructions of property, etc. |
