The US freedoms have led the world as the most outstanding example of protecting individual freedoms. Including the freedoms of speech and of thoughts which have permitted the movements like BLM and 1619 project.
Also the legislative process was the appropriate way to take down the confederate flag from govt grounds in S Carolina. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: So you didn’t actually answer my question. As for statues being vandalized, no I don’t support that. On the other hand Christopher Columbus is likely no hero to native Americans. Again it is a matter of appreciation of others perspectives. Like it or not, there is a lot of suppression over the course of history of this country. |
