I do not disagree that Colette Horn is a competent, qualified board member. However, that does not mean I must agree with every POLITICAL decision she or other board members make.

As for "asking her" about her vote, or lack thereof, that very question was raised during the meeting. She could have taken the opportunity to do so. She did not. More troublesome is that Horn did not follow the OPA bylaws. The board president, not the board, is charged under the by-laws with making all committee appointments. She had one by-laws required task with regard to Lakernick's application -- to appoint him to the committee and ask the board for its consent, or to not appoint Lakernick - in which case there would have been no vote. She failed in her duties.
