This HOA fee suits me perfectly because it includes the things that are important to me and my family. OPA would never be able to include the amenities for all because you don’t have the capacity. We do, and if I was paying for year round pool and tennis membership I think the fees would be comparable. Add in the fitness center and that I can take guests and it’s a better value for me. Likewise OPA has homeowners paying for police protection and amenities they may never use. Everyone needs to find the place that suits their needs. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Speculation is a joy to behold. The $4500 removes options. No choice of mowing one’s own lawn. No choice of insurance coverage. No choice of not paying a fee for pool use. No choice of not paying for garbage collection, etc. Many might like this setup If OPA were to add mandatory pool fees, mandatory garbage collection, mandatory lawn or grounds service, etc., there might well be riots in the streets. |
