IMO the fairest option would be to have the golf course supported solely by those that use the course. Since most OPA residents do not use the course I would suspect that they have no interest jacking their fees to pay for it to be used by others. "normal" golf courses expect to make a profit by charging their customers (not the public), why can't ours? | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: actually what you said was that an amenity that is not used is of no benefit. Then I related that to the golf course, Indeed. That is what I said. Right now OPA does not include the cost of a golf membership or golfing rights in the assessment. If OPA were to include the right to play golf in the assessment it would be of no benefit to those who do not golf. The current OPA policy is the fairer of the options. |
