Gary, you and I are miles apart on this, as from my point of view the fact that this incident was between a board member and a resigned board member is 100% irrelevant. OPA, as owner of that establishment, has every interest in any such incidents on OPA property, for board members, association member, guests, or the general public.
Your statement seems to indicate yelling obscenities in the face of any YC patron is perfectly fine so long as there is no “physical interaction.” |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: That is correct. The HOA board has no business in this incident. The fact that both the aggressor and the victim have served on the board should make no difference. When gathering at a neighborhood watering hole after hours, they suddenly become ordinary citizens and should be treated as such. If and when this happens again and none of the involved have anything to do with local politics, will the outrage be equal? It was a bar disturbance with no physical interaction, will the next aggressor be banned, I doubt it. We probably won’t even hear about it. |
