"This is not the first time this guy has gotten tuned up and flipped out at a bar. It’s not even the first time he’s done it at the Yacht Club."
Correct . . . as a matter of fact, Mr Enderle's comments are all that need to be said on this subject. What I don't understand is why Doug Parks would sabotage his own 'legacy' of service as a board member to defend someone whose behavior is unquestionably unacceptable. I personally like Tom and Doug, but each of them needs to reflect on this situation. How would Doug feel if he was out with his wife and he was targeted by an irate, out of control property owner who disagreed with one of his decisions? Harassing, menacing, verbally attacking, bullying board members in public cannot be tolerated. And if it is, we are bound to some day have a violent confrontation, and that would be a dark day for the community. Steve Lind |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: What a big, strong, tough example of a grown man. If anything like this happened at almost any bar I’ve ever worked at, the offending Tough Guy would be refused alcohol service next time he came in, and every time he came in after. This is not the first time this guy has gotten tuned up and flipped out at a bar. It’s not even the first time he’s done it at the Yacht Club. This is not rocket science. Any bartender has the absolute right to not serve alcohol to anyone they want, for whatever [non discriminatory] reason they want. Ban him or simply refuse alcohol service. |
