| I so agree! When I bought here in OP, for some crazy reason I thought the "amenities" were specific to owners. Boy, what a wake up call when having to wait in line at the Yacht Club pool! Packed, no tables w/ umbrellas available and what - now non-members get to access it for a couple bucks more?! I don't even bother any more. Gross. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: These three links make interesting reading. My first thought was, "and I didn't weigh in on any of this??" and then I checked and saw that I signed on to the Forum several months after the last posting. One remark by you struck a similar chord on another but related subject. You were making the point that what sewer facility we have here was bought and paid for by OPA residents and now outsiders could benefit by this capital expenditure. This year, we signed up for the racket ball family membership. I read over the prices for individual play: $8 for residents; $9 for outsiders. I know Marty has made this point numerous times. I now join him. We have built a wonderful pickle ball and other soft tennis sports facility. They seem to be so much in demand that OPAers could be waiting while outsiders hit away.. And we charge outsiders a dollar more to play for the day?? That's CRAZY !!!! |
