If I recall correctly there was a 1 million dollar refere
ndum threshold at that time and the Board received a bid of $900,000 for the enclosure. Without the membership's voice the Board voted to put a roof on on the pool. Again, if I remember correctly this was done with the wants of a special interest group, the Swimmin' Women. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: The decision to cover the pool was ill advised, supported at a public board meeting by more public comments from people in Berlin, Ocean City, and around the County than association members. OPA Aquatics profits went down the tubes after it was covered. Probably resulted in many millions in losses if calculated correctly. |
