If you go to the OPA website and click on link for “join our email list,” you are taken to Constant Contact website to sign up. I believe the eblast mail list is managed by CC.
CC does not produce content OPA emails for the so-called eBlasts but it does manage the list of email addresses. I expect OPA goes to a CC webpage, logsin and from there can perform various functions like mailing out the eblasts. The CC logo is at the bottom of every “This Week in the Pines.” We pay for their service and also advertise for them. All I am suggesting is the weekly eBlast should not be considered as a vehicle to deliver formal, legally required notice to all ASSOCIATION MEMBERS. Based on your post, I’m not sure if you agree or not. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: What was used is an email list maintained by a company called Constant Contact. In fact, the eBlasts are sent to anyone, anywhere in the world who signs up o the Constant Contact website to receive "marketing emails" from Ocean Pines. Constant Contact is just an email marketing app you can use to create emails and manage your distribution list. The company doesn't have anything to do with mailings or list management. |
