It was Director Colette Horn who suggested removing the right to vote or use amenities would influence owners to fix violations.
Residents with DR violations might be prohibited from purchasing amenity memberships but not paying a daily fee to use our fee-based amenities. Whether you are checking in at the golf course, any of our pools or the racquet complex, no one at those desks would know if you are on the DR list. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: 10-0285 Unregistered Vehicle 01/23/2020 Unresolved 10-0285 Debris in Yard 05/09/2022 Unresolved 10-0285 Maintenance 02/21/2023 Leaf Debris On 7/25/2022 former OPA Director Marty Clarke wrote: "I now see the list. Glad to see we have finally decided to go Nuclear against 8 Willow Way! That property and same violation we took to court when I was on the board and won. Ha, won my you know what. Well if the courts and lawyers can’t bring them into compliance perhaps not being able to vote might work. Pathetic!" Clarke said he was referencing a violation about junk cars on that property back around 2009. Back in 2022, the board was considering some changes to remove voting rights and/or amenity use for non-compliance with DRs. This prompted Clark's "pathetic" comment in 2022. Indeed board efforts to enforce DRs are "pathetic." Even more so when we see the current list of violations for 8 Willow Court includes an "Unregistered Vehicle" violation as unresolved since 2020. No info is available to know if it is the same vehicle from 2009. It was Director Colette Horn who suggested removing the right to vote or use amenities would influence owners to fix violations. The board agreed. Clarke is correct, "Pathetic." |
