Also, you seem to think the 4 or 5 million for the fire department is in OPA reserves. It is not.

The existing land and firehouse is owned by the fire department, not OPA. The fire department is a private corporation and OPA contracts with that corporation. 

I believe the fire department construction will require the fd to turn over ownership of the property to OPA.

As for future expenditures, there is a reserve study on the OPA web site.

A half million is still nothing to sneeze at.

Or the board can just add $70 to the assessment for one year. That makes no sense to me. Let’s see what the GM has to say. His track record on this stuff is nothing short of remarkable. If he opposes, I may rethink.
