What's wrong with the Library
OPA does not have unfettered access to use the library. Boardrooms are an outdated concept See my post to Amy Peck about this brave new world of life via a screen. All the board members are familiar with teams already. If Teams is the future there is not ever a need to have board members or association members leave their homes for meetings. No physical meeting space required, as you suggest. Thanks for posting your opinion. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I think Boardrooms are an outdated concept and do not merit the price tag. Frankly, I think a decent meeting room is probably adequate (What's wrong with the Library It should have streaming services available?)and as we move into Board members who are comfortable with applications like Teams, it should be rare that a " Board Room" setting is really needed. If there is a need for a larger, more formal in person location, there are locations in OPA that are adequate and streaming in those forums should not be difficult for those who cannot attend. I know it feels good and "looks good" to have an OPA board room but for the price tag below, really? I would invest in the technology that would allow more residents to participate and less on renovations of existing meeting space. Shelby Boggs |
