| I don’t believe anyone “expects” to talk to employees, but there are times when the employees are the only ones that can answer certain questions about whatever problem the committee is working on. My point was the way this gets accomplished does give rise to understandable frustration. The BOD liaison may or may not relay communications accurately. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Maggie, those who want to join committees in the expectation of dealing directly with department heads and employees should not join committees. Even board members are not supposed to deal directly with employees. Committees are board advisory committees. ADVISORY!!! |
