This govt' NOAA IMAGE points out the problems of the North American Right Whale, now facing extinction.  Protecting that kind of whale is central to the lawsuit against the Virginia offshore wind project.

Here's a interesting aspect of the Virginia lawsuit, quoted from the report.

" The issues being raised challenge every other project proceeding along the East Coast within the migratory route for this whale species. About a half dozen other projects’ existing permits could be voided, and the others in process would need to be restarted."

Thus its possible the Virginia case could also benefit Maryland citizens seeking to stop the Ocean City wind turbine project
