Another irony is that Maryland has been pouring big bucks, millions of $$$$, into grants benefitting the offshore wind project, while the energy will be delivered to Indian River, Delaware.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Folks who watched discussions here earlier are aware of the irony of Maryland's town of Ocean City will be suffering the primary visual beach impacts and industrial impacts on the town's harbor but will NOT be the primary recipients of that offshore energy which will be landing at Indian River Delaware. Transmission lines are apparently not large enough to make Ocean City the primary recipients of that offshore power. Hence the description Delmarva Peninsula. |
