When the lower shores started messing with wind, the starfish population dropped drastically.The Clams were real small. Many of the species he tried to find he couldn’t. The fishermen caught less lobsters. Clams.Things changed.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Much of our seafood comes from the waters off the New England shore. I have generations of fishermen relatives there that have thrived with their businesses and raised their families. My son- in- law has a business where companies, colleges, schools, hospitals, etc send him an order to provide them with certmain sea creatures. He goes out of his home and down to the shore and boat- if needed- and starts looking! He lives in Eastport , Maine a 10 minute drive to Canada. Beautiful. The fishermen caught less lobsters. Clams.Things changed. I had a cousin who has a statue in his name. Longtime fisherman got caught in his net one day and drowned. Livlihoods, families, count on these waters and fish. God takes care of the rest. |
