My research found the following:
June 7, 2024 The wind energy generated by US Wind's MarWin offshore wind project, located 20 miles off the coast of Ocean City, Maryland, is intended to power Maryland homes. The project is expected to be completed in 2024 and will have 22 turbines that can generate up to 300 megawatts of energy, enough to power over 92,000 homes. The turbines are expected to have an operational life expectancy of more than 25 years. Maryland signs offshore wind energy agreement (wbaltv.com) Frankly, 25 years seems a rather short time compared to a power plant. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: YES Thanks for pointing that out. Another drawback of this project. The Maryland town of Ocean City is not even where the power will be delivered to. What a phony example -- its govt chicanery . |
