Yes, the official name is the Governor Mario M Cuomo Bridge. Andrew supposedly wanted to honor the long serving governor and Democratic god for his long and faithful service. The fact that the person who named it was also a Cuomo was just a coincidence.
And I have an even nicer bridge in Brooklyn that I can sell you. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Did they rename the Tappen Zee Bridge? I have been across the new bridge many times and I still see the name Tappen Zee bridge in my mind. Oh the first time I saw the new name heading to New England I missed the exit and headed towards Albany. Now honestly do you think he named after his father or as an excuse to name it after himself. Asking for a friend. |
