Jack, in my view these millions proposed on widening Route 90 are essentially to replace a long narrow parking lot at the entrance to OC with a wider, somewhat shorter, parking lot.
OC and the state make the case that perhaps four lanes are needed to evacuate in an emergency. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I know it's on hold but I would love to know how widening rte 90 would help in any way. There is also talk of a section for bicycle s. The state wants to spend a lot of money to get people here faster, but when you have no roads in O C to handle the traffic it seems moot to me . Seems a waste of taxpayers money. |
