If you think back to a meeting where board member Steve Jacobs was trying to get the board to sign on to a code of ethics you might recall Rick Farr stating that he didn’t want to have to worry about violating some code of ethics when Matt Ortt comped his drinks on occasion.
George, I can find no verification of Rick Farr saying what you claimed he said above. Unless you can provide some reference to support your statement, you owe Farr a public apology. Please avoid making unsupported accusations on this forum about anyone. This is not debatable. I apologize in advance if you indeed provide some proof Farr said what you claimed he said. Until then, it seems you made it up based on prior bias. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I would assume you attend board meetings Joe. If you think back to a meeting where board member Steve Jacobs was trying to get the board to sign on to a code of ethics you might recall Rick Farr stating that he didn’t want to have to worry about violating some code of ethics when Matt Ortt comped his drinks on occasion. We don’t know about other board members but we do know that Matt Ortt has comped Rick Farr’s drinks on occasion because Farr himself has said so. Just think about it. If you were Matt Ortt you would be comping everyone that had anything to do with renewing your contract. That’s just good business and those things happen in every business. Frankly I don’t have a problem with it. There should be some perks for being on the board. Now if going forward Matt Ortt is making half a million plus for a few months of work while OP is spending hundreds of thousands a year on our food and beverage facilities with no return then that is a problem. |
