Has the usual bout of environmental impact studies necessary for large projects been done here? If not, I don''t hear any complaints from the usual suspects who managed to delay pipelines and fracking projects. Where do the Maryland Coastal Bays and Assateague Coastal Trust stand on the turbines and new pier? | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Seems that both you and Marty are right to look forward to Trump puling out from Offshore Wind Projects, including the one for Ocean City. However, the worry here is that BOEM has ALREADY APPROVED the OC wind project, just a few days ago. Click Here " The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) signed off on U.S. Wind's Construction and Operations Plan (COP), which is the final step in getting a federal permit to begin construction." Hoping that in fact a pulling of the OC permit and the BOEM sign-off are going to be specifically reported. But seems we've NOT YET seen any reports specific enough, nor calling such halt. If or When any halt occurs, the Ocean City town officials surely would be releasing that news. Again I'm hopeful, along with you and Marty that the OC project will be halted. |
