Specifically the impacts on the endangered Atlantic Right Whale have NOT been adequately recognized.   Also the deaths of other species of dead whales have been dodged.  This is because the necropsy exams (the whales inner ears) have been omitted.  Also omitted have been impacts on dolphins and porpoises given short shrift.

Then there's the impacts on horse shoe crabs, needed for medical purposes -- has been totally ignored. 

Bird deaths are usually evaluated for land-based wind turbines, but are omitted for the offshore projects.  

Instead there's been complaints about the Biden pressures based on the idea of green energy being pushed by the Biden agencies.  And those pushes have included big $$$ subsidies.  Also there's promises of new jobs but without factoring in  losses to sports and commercial fishing jobs.   Of course loss of tourism is a huge, key consideration for a beach town like Ocean City

And one of the worst projections is disturbing the ocean view-scape, suppressing  tourism, the life blood of the town of Ocean City 

The big difference in the OC project is the location of 117  turbines 10.7 miles offshore-- whereas the Virginia Beach project is 26 miles offshore, beyond the horizon.  A project off of Long Island is 35 miles distant.   Renderings of the 900+ ft tall towers clearly show a kind of industrialization  of the natural ocean view-scape.

Don't forget how those turbine blades have broken apart, with chunks, pieces and shards of fiberglass littering the beaches.  This occurred this past summer littering the Nantucket beach and several other nearby beach communities

Then the costs of power from offshore turbines is significantly higher than current rates.    And that's when the wind is actually blowing.  In those slack times, blackouts or brownouts  would occur, unless duplicate facilities are maintained, with reliable fossil or nuclear powered generation.   Such  standby power is often omitted, when comparisons are presented (a common deception)

I could go on and on, but you get the idea.  

And of course the lawsuit here, and those against other projects, include far more details. 

Another concern is the impingement to radar, lowering the nation's surveillance against enemy surface and submarine craft.  This also interferes with the radar assisting the rescue of disabled boats offshore and possible survivors.
