We have not done any apparent improvements and our property went up. It’s a nationwide thing that’s crazy. As people have said the Homestead Act just keeps a leash on the pols. It’s a tax on unrealized gains. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: The Sun has an article on this today. I put new siding, front door and front deck on my OP house and the assessment increase is double what the job cost. Nobody has commented so I suppose you all get a homesteader's exemption. |
