| I am very surprised. With out question the lease agreement is the way to go. The contract with the Ortt organization was ridiculous. In my opinion this is a good thing for Ocean Pines. It was time for a change. Congratulations and best of luck to Touch of Italy. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: It's Touch of Italy! commentary by Joe Reynolds, OceanPinesForum.com The Ocean Pines Board of Directors today voted unanimously to contract with Touch of Italy to manage food and beverage services for the Ocean Pines Association. This was perhaps a surprise to many, as the speculation was that Sodel was the selected contractor, a notion promoted by a front page story in the Ocean Pines Progress based on what was supposed to be a reliable source of "someone who knows someone." The contract term is five years and covers all OPA food and beverage operations at the Beach Club, Yacht Club, and Golf Clubhouse. Unlike the prior management contract, this will be a lease arrangement. OceanPinesForum.com will be seeking a copy of the contract and follow up soon with more detailed commentary and analysis. |
