![]() ![]() Section 23: OPA Elections Subject: ACE Withdraws Msg# 1224475

Ace backed out leaving only one vendor.
Stauss reported that Voatz out of Massachusetts met all RFP requirements and bid $22,000. That's less than the MK bid of $31,539, and not much more than ACE's. Vote-Now out of Florida was $24,488. What is kind of surprising and never mentioned by any board member is that MK's bid, the highest of all, is based on the contract to include two more years with annual 2.5% escalation. When the committee voted for ACE, Ransdell apparently set out to see that changed. With the help of some board members, he made it happen. Not sure why you say there is only one vendor remaining. Farr was especuially hard on ACE, wondering if ACE could even count the paper ballots. That is absolute nonsense. ACE has printed OPA ballots many times and counted OPA paper ballots at least once when Steve Habeger was election committee chair. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: >>>> In light of the serious procedural irregularities and breaches already identified, we expect prompt corrective action from the Board to restore compliance with the original RFP requirements and to ensure all vendors are treated equitably and fairly moving forward. <<<< Ace backed out leaving only one vendor. Not sure how to square “all vendors”. |
