Section 23: OPA Elections Subject: ACE Withdraws Msg# 1224520

| Unfortunate outcome given that prior to this debacle both sides had a favorable working relationship and from what has been reported ACE has consistently delivered. I will say that from a board perspective it is time that an election cycle go smoothly and I can understand some heightened degree of anxiety about another vendor change. Regardless it has now once again gone down a rathole and it is not a good look for the Board or election committee. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Why, nonsensical? I am no lawyer but suspect ACE has no legal recourse here that would result in ACE receiving damages or whatever. ACE had reason to be upset. However, Gulyas' letter, send to all local media outlets, was over the top in my view. ACE may have burned every bridge for future OPA-related printing or other work for possibly years to come. I will also say this -- ACE, after the board meeting, and the Board of Directors, prior to the board meeting, could have used the advice of a good public relations person/s.
