Section 5: OPA Board Subject: Community Center Contract Msg# 388363

From the HOA Act: (a)(1) Subject to the provisions of paragraph (2) of this subsection, all books and records kept by or on behalf of the homeowners association shall be made available for examination and copying by a lot owner, a lot owner's mortgagee, and their respective duly authorized agents or attorneys, during normal business hours, and after reasonable notice. Whether Joe Moore has advused the board to keep private is unknown, but would not surprise me. Regardless, the board can make the contract public and should. PS -- you quoted Rick's message but posted to me. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: A lot of people are saying the right thing to do is to make the contracts available but apparently BOD is saying they don't have to make the contracts public because of MHAA. Please explain exactly where in the MHAA it says the members of the HOA are entitled to see all signed contracts. Gail |
