I share with you your lack of faith in the OPA Board. The OPEG majority is a disgrace with many of their decisions. While I am for the Community Center there should have been and still should be more transparency i.e. contracts and financial penalties in event of cancellation. One major draweback to your potential referendum if successful will be the $$$ penalties in event contracts are cancelled. You could end up being a pariah if OP residents end up paying a substantial assessment and still not have a new building. You will have won which will enhance your ego but everyone else will have lost. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Rick: To make the matter worse is the fact that they, the board, would not have even sent that letter if not for S. T. O. P.. BTW, S. T. O. P. appreciates the boards assistance by sending the letter. I have personally had 19 signed petition cards handed to me this morning and received requests for another 32. Marty |
