| nancy , the problem might be that ocean pines doesn't know if it's a retirement neighborhood,a family oriented neighborhood, or a summer vacation hot spot. how many people out of 8,000 lot owners are going to really use the center. how many people used the old one. i voted for a new center , but at this point i'm disgusted with the way things are being done. and i have no faith that this building will come out the way it should for the money being spent. and they don't even have final prices yet. russ | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: nancy , i didn't buy my house to have community events , i purchased my house for the proximity to ocean city and the ocean. russ Hi Russ, Neither did I , because I live in Silver Spring and I do enough community events here to last a lifetime. BUT......I think that important part of a community for those who live there full time and for those who are looking for a place to settle is having a place to hold events. I am not looking at this issue from a purely personal viewpoint. Of course I want my second home community to be viable in the future. Right now ....it ain't lookin' too good and the way things are, I would buy not at this time. I am totally digusted with the events of the last two years. My "Camelot" of 37 years has been ruined for me. Nancy |
