For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Some past OPA BoD must have thought it was wise to acquire that land to enhance Ocean Pines. The referendum to purchase the entire Sports Core property, including the part now proposed for sale, was sold to lot owners as a means to prevent commercial development of the property. I'm fairly familiar with that as I had a hand in writing the board position for that referendum about 12 years ago. |
