Marty Are you saying the land under the proposed new center is FREE? No. Are you saying it has no value except as a new community center? No. Should we put it in at an amount equal to what the OPA paid for it? The value of the land is whatever OPA, Inc. paid for it when it was originally acquired. Those costs were incurred, paid and recorded on OPA's books years ago. However, they should not be included as costs of the CC project if the authorization to acquire the land was entirely unrelated to and separate from the authorization to acquire a community center. Only costs incurred as a direct result of the authorization to acquire a new community center project should be included in the cc project totals. Thanks Gene |
