Gene, Pretty good suggestions. It would be very informative and interesting for people to see what the addition of the proposed structures to the Sports Core area would look like from an airial view and/or a wide angle view. I don't think most people realize what that area is going to look like. The artistic picture of the community center doesn't show the placement of the cc and it enormous parking lot and stormwater holding area. It devours that area.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Below are some suggestions on what the second CC referendum documents should contain: 1) A statement that all funds to completely pay for the community center project will be available prior to the date the community center is available for use. 2) Current, detailed, verifiable (by reference to all appropriate sources such as contracts, calculations, assumptions, etc.) total project costs. 3) Detailed, verifiable (by reference to all appropriate sources such as contracts, calculations, assumptions, etc.) total and per lot costs if the community center contracts are canceled. 4) Detailed, verifiable (by reference to all appropriate sources such as contracts, calculations, assumptions, etc.) statement as to the precise sources of the funds in item 1. 5) Current, detailed, verifiable (by reference to appropriate sources such as contracts, calculations, assumptions, etc.) total and per lot annual operating costs. 6) Current, detailed, verifiable (by reference to all appropriate sources such as contracts, calculations, assumptions, etc.) total and per lot annual capital costs. 7) A reasonably accurate drawing or schematic showing the "before and after" of the entire project (building, parking lot, sediment pond, etc.) on the Sports Core site. The Veterans Memorial and the Sports Core Pool enclosure should be included in such depictions. 8) A statement from an appropriate, independent source such as an ad hoc committee, etc. that items 2 through 7 have been reviewed by them and appear reasonable. 9) A provision or statement in the referendum itself that the interior lots not needed for current or future operational purposes by OPA, Inc. will be sold regardless of the outcome of the vote to proceed with the community center. 10) A statement signed by every director that the data provided in and with the referendum is accurate to the best knowledge of each director. Please feel free to discuss, add, delete, revise or laugh (but please -no crying.) Gene |
