Section 5: OPA Board Subject: Community Hall Options Msg# 530831

No need to give OPA more space. These options can only be considered with full knowledge of all the various ramifications, especially with regard to the fire department. Consider that if OPA were to give the fire department a part or all of the commercial property along Route 589 it has a value in the range of $1 million or more. There is more behind the options than initially meets the eye and an informed choice requires a full understanding of all the ramifications of each option, not just the estimated costs for construction work. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I vote for Option #1. Here is my reasoning. No need to give OPA more space. 1. More space leads to hiring more employees. 2. More employees leads to more salaries to pay. 3. More salaries to pay leads to even higher Association Fees. Do we really want to expand the OPA? Maybe what needs to be done is to shrink the OPA some. There are too many that what to just increase the bureaucracy of the OPA. |
