This is one of the problems with giving numbers or renderings -- everyone looks and this they are absolute. I wasn't looking at the rendering as absolute. That's exactly why I said what I said. It was my thoughts on trying to keep the outside rustic looking, as opposed to the "new" look. If the outside is a white or cream siding, it will be green before the first year up. It was my suggestion if and when we go ahead with the project to perhaps explore different sidings. And not a junk, rundown look. But rather a woodsy look. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I think the building as it is from the outside is so rustic and quaint looking. The junk, rundown look? The exterior shown in the rendering can be changed. It is not fixed in stone. It is just one idea of the exterior look. This is one of the problems with giving numbers or renderings -- everyone looks and this they are absolute. They aren't. However, Marty and Bill were fairly insistent the number for the complete rehab was very close to what a contractor would do the work for. I agree about Marty and Bill R. They put a lot of effort into this and at no cost to OPA. |
