My suggestion that the Association take over patching of the roads, with the County footing the bill, is simply an effort to resolve the problem in favor of the property owners. Our Public Works Department works.  It is far more responsive to calls from the property owners than any County or State agency.  Since the County is already contracting the work out to a contractor, why not make that  contractor the association.  I would much raither have Dave Ferguson or Jim Hudson responding to calls and having the ability to get the patching completed. 

When roads crumble, potholes eat cars and the ride home feels lke a chase in a gravel pit, the property owner really does not want to listen to rounds of passing the buck. 

I suggest that the problem be resolved with the organization most responsive to the property owners in charge.  In this case the answer is the Association.
